Dipaculao Beach and Baler

Baler is one place I wanted to tick off my bucket list. When I feel like I just want to relax and chill, like nakaka-high na chill-medyo bukas isang mata-walwal vibe kind of chill, lagi ko sinasabi, parang ang sarap mag-Baler! LOL

Aside from being known where the surfing spot of the Philippines is situated, I never thought Aurora has a lot more to offer! Thanks Google Maps!

I’ve heard Dipaculao is one of the hidden gems of Aurora, which is only an hour away from Baler. And boy – WALANG HALONG DAPLIS NG PAG-CHACHAROT – this place is surprisingly awesome!

I’ll be posting here our sample expenses and itinerary for our 3 days 2 night at Dipaculao and Baler. If you guys are planning to visit the place with a private vehicle – guys please paki WAZE na lang. HAHAHA! I am not familiar with the left and right turn – toll exit and all – WAZE IS VERY INTELLIGENT guys, just follow what it wants. LOL

Kidding aside, we left Manila at around 1200 midnight and reached Dipaculao at around 8 AM with only 3 stopovers. Oh diba, laban yung pantog namin! Haha. First stop was somewhere in NLEX, next was in Nueva Ecija and last was at a market an hour before Dipaculao, Aurora.

We wanted to try the new craze called GLAMPING. I saw online that SAND AND STARS in Dipucalao offers this type of accommodation for a cheaper and reasonable price. Too bad it was fully booked when I tried reserving one for us. We chose to stay overnight at their private cottages. It was an air-conditioned room with 2 bunk beds good for 4-5 person, private toilet and bath and a small balcony for those who want to chillax with beach front view. They also offer their open cabana for free for guest who wants to enjoy the beautiful scenery while drinking wine and making conyo kwentuhan like Tito’s and Tita’s of Manila level 99999.

Overall, the place was cute-funky yet beautiful and relaxing. I want to give Ate Merly a shout out for being the most kindest and nicest staff ever! Kahit pagoda siya, laban lang sa pag entertain sa mga guest niya! Sand and Stars is for me the best among all the resorts in Dipaculao.

We drove back to Baler the next morning and our first activity was hotel surfing Haha! We did not book in advance as we know na hindi naman peak season and we are confident that we can book a room for 5 people overnight. We landed on a newly built apartelle (I forgot the name – I’m so sorry) but it was just across Costa Pacifica. We paid P2500 for an overnight stay – not bad at all.

We had our sumptuous lunch at Bayler View Hotel, prepped for a surprise birthday greeting for a very generous friend. Hi Clarence :p the noon after and tapsihan sa tabi tabi for our dinner – hindi na masama sa mga “budgetarian”

We woke up early the next day to visit the old Balete Tree, Ditumabo Falls, Museo De Aurora and Doña Aurora Quezon’s Ancestral House.

It was very wonderful experience to explore the beauty of Aurora and I am hoping to go back to discover more! And If I may add, It’s always nice to have spontaneous friends who’s always on the go! Yung tipong, wala sila pakielam sa oras as long as we are enjoying every bits and syllable of the place kase minsan ka nga lang naman makakapunta sa lugar na yon. Anyways thank you to the SWEES, if you guys are reading this! Haha. Never a dull moment with you guys <3!
